Moments of Joy and Relief

Beyond ongoing support, The Yishmereni Centre believes in creating meaningful and uplifting experiences for wounded and lone soldiers. These special projects are designed to provide moments of happiness, connection and relief from everyday challenges. From social gatherings to personal celebrations, we strive to bring comfort, encouragement and a sense of belonging to those we support, to express just how much they are valued and never, ever forgotten.

Burgers and Beers

One of our most popular initiatives is the “Burgers and Beers Project”  for soldiers in rehabilitation. When injured soldiers are feeling better and have reached a stage in their recovery that they are feeling well enough to go out for a couple of hours, The Yishmereni Centre treats them to a night out with Burgers and Beers with a friend or a spouse at a fun restaurant at The Machane Yehuda Shuk in Jerusalem.

Birthday Cakes – A Personal and Heartfelt Gesture

Every soldier deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday. We provide personalized birthday cakes for wounded soldiers, including those in hospitals, as well as for lone soldiers who may be far from family and loved ones. This simple yet meaningful gesture brings warmth, joy and a sense of appreciation, reminding them that they are remembered, valued and cared for. Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness make the greatest difference.
